Whiff of Joy Challenge 60

Just making this challenge over at WOJ by the skin of my teeth! I have been trying to get a decent photo as it is so dark and dismal here. The sketch was a nice one to work with.
The card base is Bazzill cardstock in Navy. DP is some K&Co and the other I am not sure of as the ticket isn't on it anymore. Coloured my image with copics. Eyelets, flower brad and gems are all Papermania. Text is a stamp from SU and punched out with the SU oval punch.
Thank you for visiting my blog. All comments are really appreciated.

Cards for my Sons

Here are the cards that I made for both of my sons this Christmas. I needed to wait to photograph them until my son came over to show me how to use the new camera.

The Father Christmas centres are parchment craft, coloured with pergamano inks and decoupaged. I was very pleased with them.

Any comments most appreciated.

Friday Sketchers Blog hop and challenge

The challenge this week is a sketch set by Claudia and a wonderful sketch is was to work with. My card for this challenge at Friday Sketchers is one I have done for a good friend who reaches retirement on the 3rd of January.
I have used a Magnolia stamp and it is on a Stampin up base card with Basic Grey background paper from the Boxer set. Also used SU DP as accent. I have used one of the feathers in my stash and cut out some flowers and used SU flat back pearls in centres. SU greetings which I used their punches to mount with. Grosgrain ribbon from stash.
Happy New year to all. Marion

Snow Much Fun

I have managed to do another Christmas card. I am entering this into Quixotic challenge No6 here Seeing Stars. Well I hope this qualifys as I only have 1 star on it. I have used Bazzill Cardstock and a Penny Black Image which I have coloured with Aqua colour Pencils. I have used Stickles for snow, Sakura pen on snowflakes and Art Institute glitter on mat layer. Embellishments from my old fav kit from QVC. I hope you enjoy your visit and I do love to hear from you.
Will have lots more time after Christmas as I retire Christmas Eve. Whoo hoo, can't wait.
Have a great week and thanks to everyone who visits and leaves me a comment.

Friday Sketchers 80

This is my card for the challenge at Friday Sketchers . It is a lovely sketch this week and I hope I have done it justice. My image is a download from the The Greeting Farm and I have coloured it with Copic pens. This is the first time I have used these and I love them. Only have a few colours at the moment but I can see that changing. My base card is Bazzill Sea Breeze, BG papers are Magenta and SU. Flowers and ladybird were in a kit that I had from QVC several years ago. Ribbon is SU. Mock stitching around mat with Sakura pen. Thanks for looking and I welcome all comments.

The Sugar Bowl Challenge 24

This week over at The Sugar Bowl the challenge is a sketch by Marlene and also to include Zig Zag. I thoroughly enjoyed doing this card, fabulous sketch to work from. I have used Going for a Spin Sugar Nellie stamp. She is coloured with watercolour pencils and I have chalked around the image. Cut out with the Big Shot top note die. Background papers are all stampin up and ribbon and gems were from stash. I have used the sewing machine to zig zag around the edge. This is my first Easel card and I was thrilled at how simple they are to do. Butterfly charm from an old QVC kit. Having some problems with the camera but hope these are ok for now.
All comments are very much appreciated. Thanks for looking and have a great week.
